Former Bank Employee Charged For The Crime Of Theft
She was a high-ranking staff of the Belize Bank in Dangriga town; but today Rosalva Nadia Kotch, 34, stands accused of theft.
Kotch was formally arraigned in the Dangriga Magistrate’s court on 256 counts of theft.
Court documents show that the allegation against Kotch is that between 2008 and 2013, she misappropriated $271,485.06.
Because of the nature of the charge against her, no plea was taken from Kotch as the matter will be heard on indictment.
She was offered and met bail in the amount of $7,000 plus a surety of the same amount and is to reappear in the Dangriga Magistrate’s Court on April 22.
As a condition of the bail Kotch was ordered to surrender her travel documents to the Court and to report to the police station regularly until the case is concluded. Rosalva Nadia Kotch is being defended by attorney-at-law Marilyn Williams.
