GOB warns against unverified information
Belmopan, CAYO. Friday, March 20, 2020. The Government of Belize has had to issue a statement advising Belizeans to be wary of unverified information circulating on social media.
This follows a widely shared document, which purports to contain information to be taken as Belize continued to put measure sin place to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement issued via the Government of Belize Press Office, Belizeans were reminded that all official information coverning COVIC-19 will come only from the Press Office or the Ministry of Health.
“Information from any other source is not advised to be relied on,” the statement said.
All the official information can be verified on the Press Office Facebook page and also on the Ministry of Health Facebook page.
A hotline for the Ministry of HEalth is also active and can be accessed via 0-800-MOH-CARE.
