Group prays at the steps of the National Assembly building
A group of “concerned and patriotic Belizeans” are today gathered at the steps of the National assembly building in Belmopan.
The purpose of the gathering, which is organized by Pastor Jim Duncan and community activist Patrick Menzies is to fast and pray asking God to “turn the hearts of our national leaders…so that righteousness will truly exalt this nation.”
According to a flyer circulated to announce the series of daily prayer and praise vigil, the participants in the event are praying for the retraction of the revised national gender policy, a declaration that gender equals male and female only and for an end to victimization by government and the private sector and to safeguard the preamble to the Belize constitution.
