Guatemalans caught panning for gold in the Chiquibul

Six Guatemalan nationals are in the custody of Belizean law enforcement authorities after they were caught this morning in the Chiquibul Forest Reserve in western-Belize.
Initial reports are that the six Guatemalans were illegally inside Belizean territory and it is reported that they were panning for gold.
More details on this developing story as well as the names of the detainees will be released as they are confirmed.

UPDATE: The Guatemalans who were caught in Belizean territory illegally and allegedly panning for gold are Rudy Chacon, 20; Miguel Chacon, 24; Alejandro Mejia, 37; Beltser Avalos, 18; Noel Lopez, 30 and a 17 year old boy.
