San Ignacio, CAYO. Monday, January 25, 2016. TNC: The San Ignacio/Santa Elena Town Council under the able-leadership of Mayor Earl Trapp is making good on a promise to alleviate traffic and parking challenges in the downtown area.

Work commences this past weekend on creaking more parking space by reclaiming about ten feet of land from the Macal River Park.

Mayor Earl Trapp explains.

In addition to the additional parking space, market vendors at the San Ignacio Market are also getting some much needed space with another reclamation exercise, as explained by Mayor Trapp.

As Mayor Trapp explained, these expansion projects are expected to be finished by Easter.

    You know, I never really had high hopes about Trapp. He really is an arrogant and ignorant man. Ignorant in the sense that he knows nothing. Why would you take away land from the park??? Take the taxi parking you idiot. Why would you beautify the market with a wall when that means narrowing the street!??? The traffic there is always chaos as is, Mark my words it will be worse. When people start parking on the road and creating more congestion. Thanks mayor dumb ass!

    You know I never had high hopes about Trapp. He is such an arrogant and ignorant man. Ignorant in the sense that he knows nothing, having that he takes advise from polanco the fool fool architecht.
    Why you want take land from the park huh? Take some parking from the idiot taxi them since they have most of the spots in town. Why beautify the market with a wall? Traffic has always been chaos there why narrow it more building this wall? Belive me it will get more congested when ppl start parking on the road side and cars can’t pass.
