Investigation of fire that gutted Ramon’s Village Resort completed
The investigation into the massive fire that gutted nearly two-thirds of the cabanas belonging to Ramon’s Village Resort on August 27th has been completed.
The San Pedro Sun newspaper, quoting the lead investigator Orin Smith of the Fire Department, reports that the investigation concluded that the “an electrical malfunction” is to be blamed for the fire.
It took lose to two and a half hours to bring the blaze under control.
The San Pedro Sun report quotes Smith as saying that the fire started in the roof of Cabana 14 and was traced to a faulty wire supplying the ceiling fan with electricity.
