Isabella Bank resident accused of drug trafficking
A man from Isabella Bank village in the Belize district is being accused of the crimes of harvesting marijuana and drug trafficking.
Police say that on Wednesday afternoon, Ladyville police received informing alerting them of suspected drug trafficking activity in Isabella Bank.
Police say they went to a farm belonging to Owen Baptist where a search was conducted. During the search, police say they found 37 marijuana plants ranging from four feet to ten feet high.
Police further say that on the ground they found a large plastic with suspected cannabis left to dry.
The suspected cannabis was weighed in the presence of Baptist and the drug tipped the scale at 2,710 grams.
Owen Baptist has been arrested and charged.
