A 31 year old Orange Walk man is in trouble with the police after a teenage girl accused him of having sexual intercourse with her. 

According to police reports, the 15 year old girl, a student, is alleging that on January 31 of this year, she and the man who she describes as her boyfriend, went to a dump site on the San Lorenzo Road area of Orange Walk where they engaged in sexual intercourse. 

Police say that a medical examination of the girl has certified that there had been sexual activity.

The man, a resident of Palmar village is in police custody pending a charge of Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.

    This is a very sad thing. why grown men continue to put themselves in these situations. First off, no matter how mature a 15 year old might look, internally, mentally, she is just a child and not ready for all the responsibilities that come with being sexually active. Plus there is the possibility of contracting a sexually transmitted disease. There are several factors to consider here and chief among them is counseling for the girl.

    And why did it take her nearly 6 months to report this? Did he suddenly stop supporting her and giving her stuff? Is she pregnant? Is the man now seeing someone else? Is this for revenge?

    Where are her parents? They should bear some of the blame in this. What parent in their right mind will knowingly allow their 15 year old daughter to have a 31 year old boyfriend? As it is, even if the boy was nearer her age, she should not be having sex. Parents, it is time that we pay more attention to our children.

    Seriously messed up situation. Now the man will get branded a sex offender. And the girl, she walks away and gets to do this to another man.

      The girl will do this to another man? She is a child! That it is up to the adult to decide NOT to lie down with her.

    This happens when supposedly grown men can’t think with the right head. It also happens when young girls with raging hormones do not exercise restraint. Now don’t give me wrong, I am not blaming the girl. I am also not absolving her totally either. Since there is no mention in the story that she was forced, both the girl and the man share blame in this.
