Man faces criminal charge for allegedly having sex with teen

A 20 year old man is in police custody pending charged for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 14 year old girl. 

The teenager, in the company of her mother, told police that in July of this year, she sneaked out of her grandmother’s house around 2 am and met up with the 20 year old man. 

The girl says that she went to the man’s house where they engaged in sexual intercourse, which the little girl said was of her own free will. 

But since the law says that the age of consent is 16 years old, the man was taken into police custody and is detained pending charges. 

A medical examination of the teenage girl has confirmed that she was carnally known.
