Man jailed for 2015 burglary in Placencia
Placencia, STANN CREEK. Thursday, July 21, 2016. Twenty five year old Jose Luis Arzu is spending his first night at the Belize Central Prison, after he was convicted for the crime of Burglary.
Arzu was accused of a burglary that occurred between July 3rd and 4th of 2015.
According to court reports, Arzu was prosecuted for the theft of a flat screen 32 inch Samsung brand television set valued at $1,400; a Wii brand Nintendo game with all accessories valued at $1,500 , one external hard drive with accessories valued at $1,600 and a cell phone valued at $100 from a home in the Airstrip Area in Placencia village.
After a successful prosecution by Inspector Dennis Miles, Magistrate De-Moya found Arzu guilty of the crime and sentenced him to seven years in prison.
