Man succumbs to injuries sustained in traffic accident

There are reports that a man who was involved in a road traffic accident on the George Price Highway on Monday morning has succumbed to his injuries.
The victim Manuel Ramirez of Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala, is reported to have been hitching a ride in a pickup truck that was heading to Benque Viejo del Camren town.
The vehicle overturned at the Kontiki Junction on the George Price Highway and Ramirez was flung from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup, according to reports, sustained only minor injuries.
Another hitchhiker, identified as Mervin Pineda, also of Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala sustained a large cut wound to the forehead.
