National Assembly shows solidarity with cancer patients
By Patrick E. Jones on October 2, 2013
The Senate is meeting this morning in Belmopan.
And as a show of solidarity with cancer patients, a large pink ribbon sits atop the front of the National Assembly building.
During the month of October, which is breast cancer awareness month, the Special Envoy for Women and Children is encouraging everyone to paint Belize Pink as part of a national awareness campaign.
A similar pink ribbon has been installed on the Whitfield Tower on Coney Drive, which houses the offices of the Special Envoy for Women and Children in Belize City.
