New executive for the Belize History Association
San Ignacio, CAYO. Saturday, February 20, 2016. A new executive board for the Belize History Association has been chosen.
During a general membership meeting on Saturday, February 13, the new executive was chosen and will serve for a period of two years.
According to a press release from the BHA, the newly appointed members of the Executive Board are chairperson Abigail McKay; vice chair Ifasina Efunyemi and Senior Members Myrna Manzanares and Jose Perera.
The Junior Member is John Dunn.
The Executive is also comprised of ex-officio members from the Institute for Social and Cultural Research, the University of Belize, the Belize Archives Records and Services, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The BHA press release says that the Association will continue to conduct capacity building workshops, national lectures, and paving the way forward for the recording, writing, and dissemination of Belize’s history.
