New Year’s Day blessings for essential workers in P.G.
PUNTA GORDA, TOLEDO | Sunday, January 1, 2023 | On Sunday, January 1, 2023, the combined efforts of CD Light Ministry and Hope Media (Radio & Television) provided lunch for a cross section of the community in Punta Gorda town.
In the spirit of the Christmas season and give God thanks for His mighty blessings for the year that has just ended and the promise of hope for the coming twelve months, today’s ministry outreach was designed to give God thanks.
Starting at around 11 am, the Founder and Director of CD LIGHT MINISTRY and the Proprietor of Hope Media (Radio and Television, embarked on their journey of love giving of themselves in the service to God by serving others.
Lunch packets of traditional Sunday dinner of Rice and Beans, chicken and potato salad, were given to essential workers at the Punta Gorda Community Hospital.
Along with the lunch packs, the recipients were also blessed with a small pouch with desserts.
At the handing over, Bro. Jones prayed with many of the recipients, asking God to bless them for this new year and beyond.
One of the recipients called two of her nephews who were spending time with her at her workplace, so they could have received a blessing and prayer.
Aside from the essential workers at the PG Hospital, lunch packets were also delivered to the essential workers of the National Fire Service in Punta Gorda, security personnel at Toledo Community College, Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing (PG Branch) and the men and women of the Punta Gorda police formation.
Prayers were also offered for three men who are detained at the police station for different issues.
The lunch distribution ended right on queue at midday with the last plates of food given to the security officers on duty at the Immigration compound.
Today’s food distribution was made possible through the blessings of Abba Father, CD LIGHT MINISTRY, Pastor Dwane Cardenas and his wife, Brendan Cardenas and Hope Media (Radio and Television.
All praises, glory and honor for today’s outreach go to the Lord, God, the great provider. He is the sustainer of life. Praise the Lord.
