Nightclub stabbing leaves San Ignacio man critically injured

San Ignacio town, Cayo. Monday, April 6, 2015. A stabbing incident in San Ignacio town on Holy Saturday morning has left a man in critical condition.

Preliminary indications are that the stabbing happened inside of a nightclub on Hudson Street in San Ignacio town.

The victim was rushed to the Western Regional hospital, reportedly with a piece of the blade used to stab him still lodged inside of him.

The stabbing victim we understand, is the main witness in a pending murder case; but it is not known if that fact has anything to do with Saturday morning’s incident.

Police are yet to get a statement from the stabbing victim due to his condition.

 Investigations continue.
