Ombudsman and Contractor General take oath of office

Belmopan, CAYO. Monday, February 22, 2016. Swearing in ceremony was held this morning in Belmopan for two senior public officers.
Governor General Sir Colville Young today administered the oath of office to Ombudsman Lionel Arzu and Contractor General Godwin Arzu.
Earlier this year, Prime Minister Dean Barrow announced their reappointment and today Sir Colville Young made it official during a ceremony that was held at Belize House in Belmopan.
According to a government press release, Lionel Arzu is now serving his second term as Ombudsman while Godwin Arzu is on his third sting as Contractor General.
