Orange Walk man stabbed during fight between two women
A stabbing incident in Orange Walk has left a 60 year old man injured and two women in police custody.
The victim of the stabbing has been identified as Aristeo Cowo, Sr., 60. He was stabbed to the upper left side of his chest.
According to police, their initial investigation revealed that while Cowo was at home, Corina Paniagua, 20 and a 16 year old girl arrived at his house apparently under the influence of alcohol.
Paniagua and the teenage girl reportedly got into an argument during which one of them stabbed Cowo to the chest.
While Cowo was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital for treatment, Paniagua and the 16 year old are detained by police pending the outcome of their investigations.
