Orange Walk taxi driver reported missing

An Orange Walk taxi driver has been reported missing by his family.
Hugo Ernesto Moreno, 42, is reported to have left home on Saturday, July 27 to do his taxi runs and has not returned home. Moreno’s wife told police that the last time she heard from her husband was around 12:40 am on Sunday, July 28.
At the time he left home, Ernesto Moreno, according to police reports, was wearing a sky blue shirt, blue jeans pants and white tennis.
The license plate of Moreno’s car, a white Dodge, four door taxi is: OW D-00257.
Police investigations into this disappearance continues and anyone knowing the whereabouts of Ernesto Moreno is asked to call the nearest police station.

Didnt an incident such as this just happen in cayo as well where a taxi man went missing and turned up murdered. could be a coincidence or chain of events and are linked together. two taxi man in two weeks…hhmmmm think about it

Yes, Herbert. This is the second taximan to be killed in as many weeks. No indication as yet that the incidents are related, though. But the official investigation is underway in both incidents.

I hope they are not related. Not that it will make it any easier on the grieving family. and I hope they find the person or persons responsible.

Patrick, while I know you are being optimistic, one cannot help but wonder if the incidents are related. And until the police get to the bottom of it all, then all taxi drivers need to be extra careful. We could have a serial killer on our hands. Lord have mercy.
