By Patrick E. Jones on February 4, 2016
San Ignacio, CAYO. Thursday, February 4, 2016. TNC: The oscillated turkey is a species that is found primarily in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula as well as parts of Belize and Guatemala.
Today one of these large birds was spotted in downtown San Ignacio town.
It is not certain where the turkey came from, but officials of the Forest Department in San Ignacio came out to the area of Burn Avenue to and capture the bird.
Victoria Cawich explains.
Tour guide with Maya Walk Aaron Juan gave up a brief summary of what he knows about the oscillated turkey.
