P.M. announces Cabinet changes
Belmopan, CAYO. Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Prime Minister Dean Barrow has reassigned portfolios for two cabinet ministers.
A brief statement issued this morning announced that Dr. Carla Barnett had asked to be reassigned from the Ministry of Natural Resources and that request was granted.
The changes announced today see Hugo Patt now appointed as Minister of Natural Resources.
His previous portfolio of Labour, Local Government Rural Development, Energym Public Utilities, Public Service and Elections and Boundaries has been assumed by the Prime Minister and shared up between Ministers of State Frank Mena and Dr. Carla Barnett.
Hon. Mena, according to the official statement is Minister of Sate with responsibility for Public Utilities, Energy, Public Service and Elections and Boundaries. Senator Barnett is now Minister of Sate with responsibility for Labour, Local Government and Rural Development.
The new Cabinet changes become effective on Monday, June 25, 2018.
