Placencia police gets donation of bicycles
Placencia, STANN CREEK. Monday, January 18, 2016. TNC: Police in Placencia village, Stann Creek district, today got a helping hand from the community they serve.
This morning Realtor, Caribbean Properties Consultants handed over a donation of two beach cruiser bicycles to the Officer Commanding Placencia police, Inspector Dennis Myles.
On hand to present the donation was Dan Dunbar from Caribbean Properties Consultants.
According to Placencia Police, the two new bicycles will be used to conduct patrols around the Peninsula and will complement the existing mobile and foot patrols.
Chairperson of Placencia village Ilsa Villanueva was present for the handing over ceremonies and she thanked Dunbar and his organization for the donation and said that it goes a long way in fostering better police and community relations on the Peninsula.
Of note is that this is this is the second time that Caribbean Properties Consultants is donating to the Placencia Police.
They previously donated two bicycles to the police in 2013.
