Police ask for help to identify murder victim
San Ignacio town, Cayo. Thursday, April 9, 2015. Police in San Ignacio town are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this man.
He died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
Police say the man was found around 1:27 am on Holy Saturday in an unconscious state lying at the Cayo Welcome Center in San Ignacio town.
He had injuries to his head.
The physical description offered by the police is that the unnamed man is of Mestizo descent, has low, straight black hair, weighs about 160 pounds, is of medium build and about 5 feet 6 inches tall.
Police have classified the man’s death as a homicide and have detained two persons pending further investigations.
Police are looking for a suspect as their investigation continues.
