Police find handguns in Belize City operations
Belize City, BELIZE. Friday, December 30, 2016. The Belize Police Department today announced that two handguns have been recovered from the streets of Belize City.
According to a report sent out by the Press Officer, on Thursday the South Side Strike Team conducted an operation in the area of Racoon Street Extension where they found a .32 millimeter handgun.
The same team was also operating in the area of Banak Street where officers found a .22 handgun with a magazine and twenty 9-millimeter rounds of ammunition.
481.1 grams of Cannabis was also found in the Banak Street area of Belize City by the police.
As is usually the case with these discoveries, no one was in the areas where the handguns and ammunition were found and police have deposited the items as “found property”.
