Police investigate aggravated burglary in Orange Walk
Orange Walk Town, ORANGE WALK. Friday, September 30, 2016. There is another case of home invasion, or as the police describe it “aggravated burglary” to report – the second in 24 hours; this time in the Orange Walk district.
It happened at the home of 28 year old Kenny Carranza in the Black Water Creek area of Trial Farm village.
Police say that Carranza reported to them that at around 6:30 pm on Thursday, three men arrived on a scooter and a bicycle, entered her house and robbed the occupants of cell phones, jewelry and cash.
According to police, the three robbers wore rags over their faces and one of them was armed with what appeared to be a 9 millimeter pistol and the others with knives.
Police say that prior to making their escape; the robbers assaulted one of the occupants of the house with the firearm.
Police in Orange Walk have since detained three teenagers, one 19 years old, one 15 years old and the other 16 years old, pending investigation.
