Police investigate early morning killing in Belmopan
Belmopan, CAYO. Friday, March 25, 2016. An early morning homicide in Belmopan today has left the Cruz family mourning and police looking for clues as to exactly what transpired.
Noe Cruz, 37, was found fatally wounded in the wee hours of this morning.
His common-law wife Gisella Maza was awakened around 4:30 am and told about the demise of her husband.
When Maza and the rest of the family visited the morgue at the Western Regional Hospital, they observed that Cruz with a head wound.
Family members say they were told that Cruz was found sitting down near a vehicle that was parked near a nightclub.
They are hoping that surveillance video from the establishment will assist authorities in figuring out what happened to Noel Cruz.
As the family mourns the death of Noe Cruz, his brother David says all they want is justice.
“God be with the person that did it,” said David Cruz.
