Police say teen found floating in lagoon in Seine Bight was murdered
Seine Bight village, Stann Creek. Wednesday, April 8, 2015. The case of the body of a Belize City teenager retrieved from the lagoon in Seine Bight village, Stann Creek is now a murder investigation.
That is because the result of a postmortem examination on the body of 18 year old George Richard Maskall yesterday evening concluded that he died as a result of stab wounds to the heart.
The official police report said additionally that the autopsy showed that death was caused by “sharp force injuries to the chest and the contributed cause to be blunt force trauma to the chest.”
Maskall was reported missing on Tuesday morning and a short time later, his body was found floating in the lagoon behind Seine Bight village.
Police say Maskall was last seen by family members and friends on Good Friday.
Police investigations continue.
