Police senior officers prepare for new postings
Belmopan. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. The Belize Police Department will see some substantial changes in the senior ranks in the next few months.
No official announcement has been made, but a leaked internal Memo, details changes in commanding officers in Corozal and San Ignacio, the replacement of the deputy commander in Punta Gorda and the reassignment of the Northern Regional Commander.
The most senior officer being transferred is Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvette, who goes from the Northern Regional Commander, stationed in Orange Walk, to head of National Crimes Investigations Branch, stationed in Belmopan.
Superintendent Andrew Ramirez will be the new Officer Commanding San Ignacio, while the current office holder Superintendent Dinsdale Thompson moves over to Belmopan to serve as the Staff Officer in the office of the Commissioner of Police.
Superintendent Luis Castellanos who was Officer in Charge in San Pedro moves to Belmopan, but it was not specified in what capacity.
Inspector Ernel Dominguez who is the deputy commander in Punta Gorda gets a new assignment at Eastern Division in Belize City.
Inspector Dominguez will be replaced in PG by Inspector Clement Cacho from Eastern Division.
All of these transfers are with effect from July 1, 2015.
