Policeman charged for sexual abuse of minor

Belize City, BELIZE. Thursday, November 12, 2015. Police Constable Hector Esquivel has been arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court in Belize City on a charge of unlawful sexual intercoure with a 14-year old girl.
Esquivel, 31, was remanded to the Belize Central Prison and ordered to return to court on December 18, 2015.
The allegation against PC Esquivel is that he engaged in sexual intercourse with the 14 year old girl on November 1, 2015 in Belize City.
No plea was taken from the law enforcement officer when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser because the matter will be tried on indictment.
PC Esquivel is being defended by attorney Richard “Dickie” Bradley.
