Prime Minister Barrow names Cabinet and appoints Senators
Belize City, BELIZE. Monday, November 9, 2015. Prime Minister Dean Barrow today announced the new cabinet and the appointment and or reassignment of Chief Executive Officers.
Prime Minister Barrow also announced a slate of 6 persons named as Senator for the United Democratic Party.
The President ofthe Senate is Lee Mark Chang, while Michael Peyrifitte is reappointed as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The cabinet postings are as follows:
Hon. Dean Barrow: Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Public Service, Energy and Public Utilities
Minister of State is Hon. Frank Mena with responsibility for Public Service, Energy and Public Utilities
Hon. Gaspar Vega – Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, Environment and Sustainable Development.
Minister of State is Hon. Omar Figueroa with responsibility for Sustainable Development, Environment and Climate Change.
Hon. Erwin Contreras – Minister of Economic Development, Investment, Trade and Commerce
Minister of State is Hon. Tracy Panton with responsibility for Investment, Trade and Commerce.
