Professional gardening trainees carry out community beautification project
By Patrick E. Jones on April 11, 2014
Participants of a professional gardening training in the Cayo district have successfully completed a beautification project.
Ivan Tzib, Roxana and Byron Jaimie took it upon themselves to design and then construct a small garden at a bus stop at the entrance to the Chial road with the George Price Highway.
The project included landscaping, the planting of flowers and shrubs and the installation of a garbage bin.
The staff of Belize Botanic Gardens where the three students are taking part in a professional gardeners program, has committed themselves to assist with the upkeep of the garden by watering the plants and emptying the garbage bin regularly.
