PUP chooses their constituency candidates
Belize City, BELIZE, June 21, 2018. The PUP continues to choose their constituency candidates for the next General Election.
Sunday June 17, 2018 the PUP held a convention to elect a Standard Bearer for the Albert Division in Belize City.
The Anglican Cathedral College was where 938 voters went to cast their votes in Belize City.
The votes were then tallied and the official results were announced by Party Chairman Mr. Henry Usher.
Senator Valerie Woods collected a total of 339 votes and new PUP Standard Bearer Senator Paul Thompson totaled 576 votes; leaving 20 spoiled and 3 rejected ballots.
Sunday June 24, 2018 another constituency convention will be held in Dangriga Town.
Candidates Hilberto Arzu, Erica Jang, Gregory Ovado, Anthony Ramos and Louis Zabaneh will be competing for the chance to represent the PUP in Dangriga Town in the next General Election.
This convention will be held at The Holy Ghost R.C. School, polls opening at 9 a.m. and closing at 4 p.m.
