By Toledo Correspondent on July 3, 2018
Belmopan, BELIZE, July 3, 2018. The People’s United Party convention to chose a standard bearer in the Belmopan constituency will take place this coming Sunday, July 8, 2018.
The reason for this rescheduling is on account of a challenge by one of the candidates who was disqualified. The PUP convention is still on hold pending the result of the court case triggered by Attorney Arthur Saldivar who is challenging his party’s vetting policy.
The challenge will be heard in the courtroom of Justice Shona Griffith on Friday July 6, 2018.
The PUP says it is looking forward to holding Sunday’s convention and wishes the three candidates vying for Standard Bearer the best of luck.
