New members have been elected to serve on the executive of the reactivated El Paraiso Farmers Cooperative Society Limited in the Toledo district.
The 5th annual general meeting of the Cooperative was held on Sunday morning in Buena Vista Village.
The new management committee that was elected includes Maria Menjivar, Juan Zelaya, Josue Hernandez, Jose Mejia, Julio Solares, Domingo Moncade and Daniel Dias.
The members who received the three highest votes will serve for a period of two years. Election for the other four members will be held during the 2014 fiscal years. Sunday’s AGM, which was attended by the Registrar of Cooperatives Gareth Murrillo also saw the presentation of the audit report.
In addressing the AGM, Murrillo encouraged the well attended event to work together to strengthen the relationship between the Cooperative Society and the department of Cooperatives and to uplift the level of governance of the institution.

Murillo is locking professionalism as he allowed corruption people and thief’s like Julio solares and others he had previously called in a election meeting without the former coop president and 90 % of its members to do elections and either without doing and audit as per by-laws . the coop is presently in a real disorder and Mr. murillo itself locks professional ethics the chairman of both bella vista and trio are very un happy with this as it affects the poor farmers
