Roaring Creek teen is victim of shooting incident
A 16 year old boy was shot in the abdomen on Wednesday morning in the Cayo district.
The teenage boy told police that he and a group of friends were in a yard in Roaring Creek village around 9:30 am when the shooting happened.
The boy says that he saw a heavily tinted small dark green car approach and parked about 100 yards away from where he was sitting on a step.
The teenager says that he saw a man of Creole descent get out of the passenger side of the car with a gun in his hand. Soon after, the gunman reportedly fired several shots in his direction.
The boy says that he felt a burning sensation and when he checked himself, found that he had been shot in the abdomen.
Police say they recovered three 9-millimeter expended shells from the scene. Police investigations continue.
