Robbers target Teakettle village business establishment

An armed robbery was reported in Teakettle village, Cayo on Monday night.
It happened at a business establishment owned by businesswoman Julia Cruz, 65.
According to police reports, around 7:40 pm Monday two men, one of whom carried a pistol entered the business establishment.
Four shots were fired and one of the men jumped over the counter and held a firearm to Jorge Alberto Navarro, 45, demanding money.
The two robbers made good their escape with $500 in cash and three hundred dollars worth of telephone cards. Police investigations continue.
