San Ignacio cab driver robbed at knife-point
San Ignacio, CAYO. Wednesday, March 16, 2016. A San Ignacio taxi man was robbed of his car at this afternoon on the Calla Creek road while delivering fares.
According to reports received, the taxi man was hired by two men to take them to Bullet Tree Falls Village, but instead of paying for the far, the passengers reportedly held up the cab driver at knife point on the Calla Creek road which is behind the police booth in Bullet Tree Falls village.
The taxi man was able to escape his assailants unhurt, and the men reportedly took off in his cab, a silver in color Toyota Corolla.
It is believed that the assailants are Guatemalans and they may have already crossed into Guatemala with the vehicle.
