By Patrick E. Jones on July 30, 2013
The search for an Orange Walk taxi driver has ended. Reports from the north say the charred remains of Hugo Ernesto Moreno, 42, was found inside his car about a mile and a half outside of Carmelita village.
The car has also been burned beyond recognition.

What was a missing person’s case has not been upgraded to a murder investigation and the police investigation had commenced.

This is the second taximan in as many weeks to go missing and turn up dead. Coincidence? or something more sinister? Inquiring minds want to know.

This is troubling. It just goes to show the peril that cab operators face. It is also disturbing that a hard working man was robbed of his life like this. Now his family is left to grieve. Whoever did this to him deserve a similar fate. Lock him up in a vehicle and set it on fire.
