Punta Gorda, TOLEDO. Thursday, July 19, 2018. “Belize Da Fi Wi – Now & Forever, 8867.”
That is the theme that has been chosen for this year’s September Celebrations.
The National Celebration Commission today announced that the winning theme was submitted by Corozal resident Fernanda Tun.
A total of 196 suggested themes were submitted from 70 persons who took part in a competition organized by the Commission.
As her prize, Fernanda Tun will receive $1,000 and a special invitation to the Official September Ceremonies.
This year Belize is commemorating the 220th anniversary of the Battle of St. George’s Caye and the 37th anniversary of Independence.
