Showery, cool weather prevails this weekend
San Ignacio, CAYO. Saturday, February 6, 2016. TNC: A stationary front over our area is supporting showery weather of the country along with cool conditions.
The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is for cloudy to overcast skies.
A few showers and periods of rain occurring mainly along coastal areas will gradually decrease overnight.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy and cool. Little or no rainfall will occur on Sunday.
Winds during the forecast period are northerly to northwesterly at 10 to 20 knots, with occasional higher gusts.
The sea state is moderate to rough. Operators of small craft are advised to exercise caution in rough seas.
The high temperature for today is an even 70 degrees Fahrenheit countrywide.
Tonight, the temperatures will fall to 64 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 69 degrees Fahrenheit inland and 54 degrees Fahrenheit up at the higher elevations.
A high tide occurs at 8:29 pm. And a low tide is at 3:32 am on Sunday. The sunset today is at 5:30 pm. Sunrise on Sunday is at 6:23 am.
The extended forecast, valid through to Monday afternoon is for variably cloudy skies along with windy and cool conditions.
Little or no rainfall will occur during the extended forecast period.
