Silk Grass village man hospitalized, woman charged
A woman from Silk Grass village has been charged for the crime of grievous harm following an incident which police say has left a man in a paralyzed state.
The incident reportedly happened on Independence Day. Police say they visited a bus stop in Silk Grass village around 2 am on Sunday where the observed George Moran, 40, motionless on the ground.
Police say it appeared that Moran was under the influence of alcohol.
Initial police investigations show that “Moran was socializing at the bus stop when he was reportedly pushed by Karen Ogaldez and fell on his neck.”
Police say Moran was first taken to the Southern Regional Hospital and later transferred to the KHMH “where he was admitted in a paralyzed state.”
Police have since arrested and charged Karen Ogaldez, 48, for the crime of grievous harm.
