Singaporean transport delegation visits Belize
Belmopan, CAYO. Thursday, June 22, 2017. Belize and Singapore are exploring cooperation initiatives under a recently inked open skies agreement.
For Belize, that exploration includes training in maritime affairs.
These matters were discussed in Belmopan today when a visiting delegation from Singapore met with Minister of Transport Edmond Castro and officials of his Ministry.
According to an official press release, the Singaporean delegation is in Belize to “explore cooperation initiatives that could be executed under the recently signed air services agreement.”
Minister Castro notes that since Singapore is considered a world leader in maritime affairs “we can learn a lot from you.”
The hope is that whatever cooperation initiatives are agreed will be of mutual benefit to both Belize and Singapore.
