Sunny skies with cloudy spells expected today
San Ignacio, CAYO. Monday, January 16, 2017. Relatively moist conditions continue to prevail over our area.
The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is for sunny skies with cloudy spells today. Tonight will be partly cloudy.
A few showers will affect mainly coastal and northern areas of the country this morning, then decreasing this afternoon.
Tonight, showers will be isolated, except in the south where a few more will develop during the forecast period.
Winds over the open sea and along the coast will be easterly at 10 to twenty knots, producing moderate sea conditions.
High temperatures today will be around 83 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 87 degrees Fahrenheit inland and 73 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills.
Low temperatures at dawn will range from 75 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast to 68 degrees Fahrenheit inland. It will be a chilly 60 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge.
The tides will be high at 1:03 pm and low at 7:03 pm.
The sunset today is at 5:39 pm. The moon rise is at 9:51 pm.
The extended forecast, valid through to Wednesday is for isolated showers over most areas of the country.
