Supporters of the PUP stage demonstration in Belmopan
By Patrick E. Jones on November 1, 2013
The Opposition People’s United Party (PUP) carried out a demonstration today at the steps of the National Assembly building in Belmopan.
The House was in session while the PUP protestors numbering in the hundreds demonstrated outside.
Speaking with supporters, the leader of the PUP, Francis Fonseca said that the protest is but one of many activities and initiatives planned by the Opposition all designed to eject the United Democratic Party from office.
The PUP is longing for a return to Belmopan as the new government and is banking on recent scandals and allegations of corruption to help them take back the reins of power from the UDP.
