Taxi man succumbs to gunshot injuries

Belize City. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Belize City taxi man, 55 year old Egbert Hemmans has died, one day after he was injured in a shooting incident on Iguana Street.
Hemmans, according to police report, had taken 31 year old Mark Medina, Jr to a house on Iguana Street, when Medina was fatally wounded.
Hemmans was also shot multiple timed but managed to drive himself to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital to seek medical treatment.
Police today reported that Hemmans succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 8:12 pm last night.
Investigations continue.
