Team Telemedia takes lead in Belize City Softball playoffs
The finals of the Belize City softball competition continued on Wednesday night at the Rogers Stadium.
Team Telemedia pulled ahead of their arch rival Fresca Lady Rebels defeating them by a score of 14-7.
Game of the best of 5 series saw Lydia Cacho and Norecia Frazier deliver big for Telemedia on offence.
They were backed up by the strong pitching performance of Keneshia Sutherland.
At the end of 7 innings of play, the box score saw Lady Rebels posting 7 runs on 7 hits and 5 errors.
Telemedia posted 14 runs on 16 hits and 3 errors. Lady Rebels left 9 runners on base, while Telemedia left 5 runners on base.
The winning pitcher was Keneshia Sutherland. Lanisha Jones is tagged with the loss.
Game 4 of the series will be played on Friday night at the Rogers Stadium at 6:30 pm.
