Teenage minor says policeman raped her
Corozal Town. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. A policeman has been detained in Corozal town pending investigations following a rape allegation made by a fourteen year old girl.
The minor, accompanied by her mother, went to the police station on Monday evening and reported that yesterday afternoon, a man who was riding a motorcycle and dressed in black clothing with “police markings” offered her a ride home.
The girl says that she knows the man for the past month and that she got on the back of the motorcycle.
But instead of taking her home, the man reportedly drove off towards Consejo Road.
The girl says that the man took her to an area by the sea where he raped her.
A medical examination of the child by a doctor confirmed that she as carnally know and classified her injury as wounding.
