Toledo resident says rural roads neglected
A concerned resident of the Toledo district is raising concerns about the lack of road infrastructure maintenance and improvement in rural Toledo.
According to a social media post by Peter Bol: “San Jose Village is a large community of approximately 1,000 in population. There is no electricity and worst of all poor road conditions. From ITVET to San Jose is about 6-8 mile. Our neighbouring
community is Naluum Caj and south is Santa Cruz Village which is about 3 mile and a gateway to the newly paved road that leads to the border. In between this short cut are two culverts which over the past 8 years and counting have not been addressed. It is so disturbing that our road at least has not been given attention to by responsibly individual or individuals. Especially in this rainy season we cannot commute, from our main route the bridge is overflowed. Road access is a major concern and i hope that this be addressed and not be neglected!”
