Toledo top-cop gives pep talk to baseball/softball players
Jacintoville, TOLEDO. Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Officer Commanding Punta Gorda Police Formation Assistant Superintendent of Police Brent Hamilton today visited with members of the baseball and softball teams in Jacintoville.
During the visit, which was facilitated by head coach Patrick E. Jones, ASP Hamilton took the opportunity to encourage the young men and young women to avoid getting into trouble, stay away from drugs and alcohol and to pursue their God-given talents to become positive contributors to their community and country.
ASP Hamilton used his own personal experiences growing up in Belize City to motivate the young people to “Reach for the stars” but reminded them that they need to be grounded firmly and that they are involved in a good and positive program that could go a long way in helping them reach their goals and potential.
At the end of the session, ASP Hamilton promised the players that today’s visit will not be the last and that he intends to visit with them during one of their practice sessions to share more with them.
