Trio charged for possession of uncustomed liquor

Three men from Belize City and Hattieville village have been charged with the crime of “acquiring possession of uncustomed goods and recklessly concern in carrying uncustomed goods.”
The trio, including Carlton Humes, 29; Rondale Bailey, 25 and Devon bailey, 21, were intercepted over the weekend and found to be carrying cases of Vodka in the vehicle in which they were traveling.
Police say that this morning, the three men were charged with three times the value of the contraband items, which sums up to $47,586.
The initial assessed value of the contraband liquor is put at $15,862.
