The latest happened last night on Prince Street and claimed the life of twenty one year old Johan Cocom.
Police say that around six thirty last night, Cocom was riding a bicycle on Prince Street when someone fired shots from a parked vehicle, hitting him multiple times.
Police say that Coocm died about half hour later while undergoing treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
Earlier on Wednesday, twenty six year old Troy Cole was fatally wounded on Gibnut Street.
Police say that around 9:20 am on Wednesday, Cole was heading towards Curassow Street when he was approached by a man with a firearm.
A struggle reportedly ensured between them and several shots were fired.
Police say that Cole managed to run to the Belize Integral Health Center seeking assistance; however local media reports say that the Belize City-based medical facility refused to offer treatment to the injured man.
